The period of green revolution refers to the production of the crops giving a high yield. There was a development of fertilisers, insecticides and herbicides which help to increase the production of crops by providing nutrients to plants and reducing the chance of diseases. Norman Borlaug was the scientist which developed a variety which is resistant to disease and give a high yield. The scientist is referred as the father of green revolution.
