Intensive farming:

1. The agricultural intensification and mechanization system that is based on maximizing the yields from available land through heavy use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers is intensive farming.
   
2. This intensification and mechanization have also been applied to the raising of livestock with billions of animals, such as cows, pigs, and chickens.
   
3. Intensive farming practices produce more and cheaper food per acre and animal, which has helped feed a booming human population.
   
4. But intensive farming is a threat to the environment as it has led to loss of ecosystem, global warming and also led to emergence of the new parasites in the environment.
5. Proper measures are to be taken int account before performing intensive farming in a particular land.
