  1. Isogamy is a kind of sexual reproduction seen in most unicellular eukaryotes, in which gametes of the same morphology reproduce.
  2. Both gametes have the same appearance and so cannot be classified as male or female.

Example of Isogamy:

  1. Isogamous sexual reproduction occurs in Spirogyra and Ulothrix, when male and female gametes are of similar size.
