What is lymph? How is it formed?
Lymph
The lymph is a pale yellowish or colorless fluid that resembles the blood except that they lack red blood corpuscles and platelets. The composition of lymph may vary. About 94% of the lymph is usually water and 6% are dissolved substances like proteins, salts and white blood cells.
Formation of lymph
The lymph is formed when the interstitial fluid comes in contact with blood vessels. The lymph is derived from the interstitial (tissue or cells) fluid through fine, irregular lymph capillaries.
