Solution

Parasitic plants are plants that depend on other plants for food and survival. These plants cannot make their own food through photosynthesis and are not green in color and hence obtain nutrients from a host plant. They grow on other plants and their roots penetrate into the host planting using which they absorb the nutrients. Cuscutta and loranthus are parasitic plants that grown on other plants.
