Resultant force

  1. It is the net force acting on a body.
  2. For example, if two forces of magnitude F1and F2 are acting on an object in the same direction.
  3. The resultant force will be the addition of these two forces.
  4. Resultant force (Fr)=F1+F2.
  5. If the forces acting are in opposite directions then one will be taken as positive and another will be taken as negative.
