Parthenocarpy:

  1. Parthenocarpy refers to the development of fruit without fertilization.
  2. In botany, parthenocarpic fruit means “virgin fruit”.
  3. These fruits are generally seedless.
  4. Gibberellin, auxin, and cytokinin are the plant hormones helpful in this process when sprayed on flowers and could stimulate the development of parthenocarpic fruit, in varieties of banana, pineapple, cucumber, tomatoes, figs, oranges, grapes, kiwi, blackberry, pepper, etc.
