What is parturition?
The process by which a baby comes out of the vagina
The fertilisation of the egg and the sperm leads to the formation of the zygote. The single-celled zygote undergoes fertilisation to become a multicellular embryo. The embryo attaches itself to the endometrium, the inner layer of the uterus. The gestation period of humans is 270 - 280 days. During this stage, the foetus completes it growth through gradual changes and the fully grown baby comes out of the vagina. This process is called parturition. Menstruation is the vaginal bleeding that occurs as part of a woman's monthly cycle.
