Whales are grouped into mammals as they give birth to young once like other mammals, warm-blooded and possess mammary glands.
Lungs in the respiratory organ of whales. They breathe air through blowholes present on the top of their heads. Few adaptations found in whales to prevent water from entering the blow holes such as the airflow passages are complex and convoluted, muscles surrounded the blowhole form a plug that closes the opening under water, the larynx does not open into the throat.
