What is test cross? Explain its significant with graphic representation.

When F1 progeny is crossed with recessive parent then it is called as test cross. Test cross help to find out the genotype of dominant individual. There are monohybrid test cross and dihybrid test cross,

1) Monohybrid test cross: It gives 50% dominant progeny and 50% recessive phenotypes.

2) Dihybrid test cross: It gives 25% each type of phenotype, the ratio is 1:1:1:1
