Mass of the car is 1000 kg
The initial velocity of the car, u=10 km hr1=10×10003600=2.78 ms1
Similarly, the final velocity, v=20 kmhr1=20×10003600=5.56 m s1
With the mass and velocities, we can find the initial and final kinetic energies.
Initial Kinetic Energy =12×1000×(2.78)2=3864.2 J
Final Kinetic Energy =12×1000×(5.56)2=15456.8 J
According to work energy theorem, the difference in kinetic energies would give us the amount of work done.
Work done = Change in kinetic energy = 15456.83864.2=11592.6 J
