The harmful effluents which are released from factories containing mainly sulphur dioxide and nitrogen oxides cause acid rain . These harmful gases rise up in the air and mix with water and oxygen and react with each other causing acid rain.

Impact of acid rain:-
1.It is harmful for plants, animals and aquatic life.
2.It destroys monuments eg.Taj Mahal.
