Hyperglycemia (high blood glucose):

  1. It is caused due to high levels of blood glucose due to deficiency of insulin.
  2. Insulin produced by the beta cells of the pancreas is essential for the cells to take up glucose and convert it into energy.

Symptoms:

People with diabetes or hyperglycemia show some symptoms like thirst (polydipsia), vomiting, vision problem, glycosuria (excess sugar in urine), frequent peeing at night, fatigue, etc.
