What is the degree of a constant term?

Open in App
Solution

A constant term in an expression or equation does not contain variables.

In a polynomial Px=ax2+bx+c , c is a constant term.

In a constant term, the power of the variable is zero.

Since c=c×1=c×x0.

Hence, the degree of a constant term is zero.
