Difference betwen aging and senescence:
1. Ageing is progressive deterioration in the body of the organisms. There is general decline in metabolic processes whereas the terminal irreversible stage of ageing is called senescence. In plants it is characterized by yellowing of leaves and leaf fall.

2. Ageing leads to senescence.
Senescence leads to death.
