What is the difference between the amplifier and oscillator?
The following are the differences between amplifier and oscillator:
Amplifier | Oscillator |
An electronic circuit which increases the amplitude of the weak signal is known as amplifier. | The electrical circuit which is used to generate an AC signal by suppling a voltage source is known as oscillator. |
Amplifier uses a negative feedback to produce output. | Oscillator uses a positive feedback to produce output. |
An amplifier can be used any number of times and anywhere in the circuit wherever it is necessary in the circuit. | Oscillator is used only once in the circuit that too at the start of the circuit. |
