For a transistor amplifier-
β=(ΔICΔIB)VCE= constant
α=(ΔICΔIE)VCB= constant
Also,
ΔIB=ΔIEΔIC
Therefore, β=(ΔICΔIB)=(ΔICΔIEΔIC)=(ΔIC/ΔIE1ΔIC/ΔIE)=α1α
From this we can have, α=β1+β
So, option (A) & (B) both are correct.
