Difference between cardiac output and stroke volume?
Stroke volume:
The amount of blood pumped by each ventricle in one cardiac cycle is referred to as the stroke volume.
Cardiac output:
Cardiac output refers to the amount of blood each ventricle pumps per minute.
Differences between stroke volume and cardiac output:
Stroke volume | Cardiac Output |

2. It is determined by three factors-
| 2. Cardiac output can be calculated by multiplying stroke volume by heart rate.
|
3. It is the filling pressure of the heart at the end of the diastole. | 3. If a patient's stroke volume is 75 mL with each contraction and the heart rate is beats per minute. Then the cardiac output is mL per minute (or L per minute). |
