What is the difference between connecting wires and insulated wire.

Wire is used to allow current to flow from one place to another. Most of the wires that we use to run any electrical appliances have insulation surrounding the metallic core. Connecting wires are are the metallic strip inside that insulated wire. At electric pole You must have observed the wire without any cover, thats the connecting wire.
