EPIGLOTTIS PHARYNX
Epiglottis is thin, valve like, flexible cartilaginous tissue that covers the glottis during swallowing, so as to prevent the entrance of food and water or drink into wind pipe. Pharynx is the part of the throat that is situated immediately behind the mouth and nasal cavity. Pharynx plays an important role.It receives air from nasal cavity and food, water etc. from oral cavity.
