Rational number is a number written in the form of $\frac{p}{q}$ where q is not equal to 0.
There are two forms of any rational number:
1) Fractional form
2) Decimal form
$\frac{5}{10}$ is a fractional number.
0.5 is its decimal form and $\frac{1}{2}$ is its fractional form.
