Open in App
Solution

The temperature is the fundamental difference between the freezer and the refrigerator. The temperature in a refrigerator should be between 35 and 40 degrees Fahrenheit. According to the Food and Drug Administration, a freezer must be set to 0 degrees Fahrenheit to keep food safe for storage and consumption later.

Deep freezers are more energy efficient than upright freezers, utilising 10 to 25% less electricity. This is due to two factors: It is often more insulated, and it loses less cold air than an upright freezer since the door is opened less frequently.
