What is the difference between the fraction and rational numbers?

A number of the form $\frac{a}{b}$, where “$a$” and “$b$” are whole numbers, and b is not equal to zero is known as fraction .

On the other hand, A rational number is a number that can be written in the form $\frac{p}{q}$, where $p$ and $q$ are integers and $q\ne 0$. The denominator of a rational number can never be zero.

All fractional numbers are rational too. But all rational numbers are not fractional.
