Solution

Glycolysis:

  1. It is the biochemical process in which glucose is broken down to release energy. Glucose is converted to Pyruvate with energy in the form of ATP.
  2. This process occurs in the cytoplasm of cells without the involvement of additional oxygen.
  3. Hence this takes place in both aerobic and anaerobic organisms.
  4. The final output or end product of Glycolysis is two molecules of pyruvate, ATP, NADH, and water.
  5. The end product of glycolysis in the aerobic condition is pyruvate and lactate in anaerobic conditions.
