4. Help in various metabolic activities like glycoprotein synthesis.
5. Help in the production of certain vitamins.
6. Take part in the construction of plasmalemma, cell plate in plants by phragmosome.
7. Help in the formation of lysosomes, pigments, acrosome of mature sperms.
8. They regulate fluid balance.
9. They take part in yolk synthesis or vitellogenesis in the eggs.
