What is the HCF of any two co-primes?

Open in App
Solution

All the numbers that divide a number completely, i.e., without leaving any remainder, are called factors of that number.
The HCF of two or more than two numbers is the greatest number that divides each of them exactly.
Suppose, two co-prime numbers be 2 and 3
HCF (2,3)=1
Now, Numbers=4,5
HCF (4,5)=1

Therefore, the HCF of two co-prime numbers is always 1.
