b. Water is a scarce resource and a life sustaining resource.

d. Water as a resource is needed in both agricultural and manufacturing sector to remain operational.
e. Water is needed to grow crops, for irrigation purposes.
f. Industrialisation requires water not only for the industrial process but for generating power, a considerable part of energy comes from hydroelectric power
g. Further water is needed for our household consumption and other activities.
h. Water is essential requirement to maintain the ecosystem.
i. With Over demand and consumption of water and its potential scarcity, it has been predicted that world is likely to head for water wars.
