What is the meaning of mohenjo - daro . Why the city was named so

Mohenjo Daro means ‘Mound of the Dead Men’. The archaeological excavations revealed that the mounds of this place contained the remains of what was once the largest city of the Indus civilization. And it was a dead city by then. Hence, it was named Mohenjo Daro.
