What is the mode of transmission of polio

Polio is a viral disease that affects the spinal cord and weakens the muscles and might cause paralysis. These viruses enter through mouth usually through hands with stool of contaminated person. Thus polio is spread when stools of an infected person enters a non-infected person through contaminated water or food. These viruses can also pass through the saliva of infected person.
