Nucleus:

  1. Nucleus contains genetic material and DNA and is responsible for directing and controlling all cell activities.
  2. Nucleus synthesizes all RNA required by cells.
  3. Nucleus coordinates or directs cell activity, including growth, intermediate metabolism, protein synthesis, and reproduction.
  4. Nucleus contains the nucleolus, the site of DNA replication and RNA synthesis.
