  4. The endosperm is comparable to the edible section of the coconut and the coconut water.
  5. With the liquid – coconut water, the endocarp wraps one seed with a brown testa holding a tiny embryo and an edible component (white oily endosperm).

Mesocarp of coconut:

  1. Coconuts have a fibrous mesocarp, a rocky endocarp, and a membrane epicarp.
  2. Mesocarp is the intermediate layer of a fruit's pericarp, located between the endocarp and the exocarp.
  3. As a result, the mesocarp in coconut is fibrous.
