Plant growth is defined as the increase in volume and/or mass of a plant, with or without the creation of new structures such as organs, tissues, cells, or cell organelles.
In plants, seeds germinate and grow into new seedlings, which eventually mature into adult plants.
Plants continue to grow indefinitely.
Order of plant growth:
Sprouting: A seed contains a nutrients within itself to germinate. It begin growing their first pair of leaves.
Seedling: As roots of plant develop and spread, nutrients are absorbed which fuels the rapid growth from spindly seedling to healthy plant.
Vegetative: In this stage the energy for foliage and growing stems is derived from nitrogen.
Budding: In this stage the growing leaves develop from buds and healthy flowers and fruits begin to develop.
Ripening: It includes the various stages of plant growth that contribute to full maturity.
