a) We know Oxidation state of F is 1
x+(1)6=0
x6=0
x=+6
b) We know Na is +1 and O is 2
So, 2(+1)+2x+3(2)=0
2+2x6=0
2x=4
x=+2
Here, oxidation state is +2
