Solution
The correct option is B
Spindle
After the release of the male gametophyte or pollen grain from the anther it undergoes two mitotic divisions. The first division of the pollen grain protoplast results in two unequal cells - a larger vegetative cell or tube cell and a smaller generative cell. The vegetative cell or tube cell has abundant food reserve and a large irregularly shaped nucleus. It is the tube cell which develops into the pollen tube during pollen germination. The generative cell is spindle shaped with dense cytoplasm and nucleus and the generative cells divides mitotically into two sperm cells which passes through the pollen tube to enter the embryo sac of the flower.
