In the poem Ozymandias, Shelley talks about the ruins of the sculpture of an arrogant king, lying in a desert. The theme of the poem is that with the passage of time, every person gets destroyed and all that remains are his ruins. Even the mighty king, with his pride and passion, now lies as stone, all alone in the vast desert. When measured against time, human beings are insignificant.
