We saw that the vertex of the parabola or quadratic function yk=S(xh)2 is (h,k). So we will try to express the given quadratic in this form. Y = x2 - 6x + 12 can be expressed as
y=(x3)2+3
y3=(x3)2
Comparing it with yk=s(xh)2 we get
h = 3 and y = 3
So the vertex is (3,3)
