What is wind? What type of energy is possessed by wind?
Formation of wind:
The rise and expansion of the warm air on the surface of the Earth create less pressure than where the air is cooler, especially on the surface of the water. As a result, the air moves from high pressure to lower pressure, which leads to the formation of wind.
Wind:
Wind can be described as moving air. It forms due to the differences in pressure in the surrounding atmosphere. The two factors required to describe wind are speed and direction.
The energy possessed by the wind:
The energy associated with the moving air is kinetic energy.
Thus, the wind is moving air, and it possesses kinetic energy.
