• They are bigger in size than the particles of Zinc powder.
• They are used in the preparation of Hydrogen gas due to their large surface area.
• The reaction of Zinc with an acid forms Hydrogen gas $\left({\mathrm{H}}_2\right)$ and corresponding salt.

Reaction involving Zinc granules:

1. When Zinc granules $\left(\mathrm{Zn}\right)$ reacts with Hydrochloric acid $\left(\mathrm{HCl}\right)$,it will produces hydrogen gas $\left({\mathrm{H}}_2\right)$ and zinc chloride $\left({\mathrm{ZnCl}}_2\right)$.
