Solution

The correct option is B

- 2x + 14

Let the algebraic expression that is to be added be P.

Then,

(x2+3x8)+P=x2+x+6

P=(x2+x+6)(x2+3x8)

P=x2+x+6x23x+8
P=2x+14
So, 2x+14 must be added to x2+3x8 to get x2+x+6.
