Solution
Instructions:
Explain how the people of the Indus Valley treated plants and animals as sacred.
Write about the male and female figurines discovered from there, and the information obtained from them.
Solution:
It is believed that the Indus people held several trees like peepal as sacred and might also have worshipped animals.
Figures of mother goddesses and pictures of a male god have been found.
Some believe that this may be a god similar to Lord Shiva worshipped in later times in various parts of India.
Other pictures also indicate that the people of the Indus Valley took out processions carrying banners in regard to their gods during festivals.
