Given: $2 x^{2} + 6 a - 5 x + 10 = 25 at x = 1$

on substituting the value of $x = 1$ in the above equation, we get,

$2 (1)^{2} + 6 a - 5 (1) + 10 = 25$

$\Rightarrow 2 + 6 a - 5 + 10 = 25$

$\Rightarrow 6 a + 7 = 25$

$\Rightarrow 6 a = 25 - 7 = 18$

$\Rightarrow 6 a = 18$
