1.Setting up of various research institutes across India.
2.The Forest conservation act,1980 was passed to check indiscriminate deforestation.
3.Social forestry had come into existence.
While for conservation of wild life following steps had been taken:
Indian Board for wildlife was constituted in 1952 to protect wildlife.
The wildlife protection 1972 was passed which governs wildlife protection and conservation.
Wild life reserves had been developed for wild life protection.
