  1. Rhizopus is a fungus which is known as bread mould.
  2. The saprophytic mode of nutrition is present in mushrooms as well as bread moulds.
  3. The mould favours sugar and starch. Therefore, it takes up nutrition from carbohydrates present in the bread.
  4. Rhizopus is responsible for storing nutrients from the bread with the name of glycogen.
  5. The spores formed on the bread are asexual spores which break to release the matured spores.
