Solution

The correct option is A Axile
Placentation is the process of arrangement of placenta in the ovary of flower. It is of six types marginal, axile, free central, basal and superficial. In axile placentation, margins of carples fold inward, fusing together in the centre of ovary to form a single central placenta. Ovary is divide into as many locule as there are carples. e.g., tomato and Hibicus as a central upgrowth from base of ovary, e.g., Stenaria. In basal placentation ovule are borne at the base of ovary which are few or reduced to one, e.g., Asteraceae. Marginal placenta develops along the junction of two carples in a unilocular ovary, e.g., Pisum.
