What type of stem does banana have and how to recognise it

Dear student,

The Banana has a psedostem.The stem we see ,is really not a stem but the lower parts of the leaves.Banana is not a tree but a herbaceous plant .The thick stalk grow up the ground and form the backbone of the plant.It can be recognised by seeing its green colour, herbaceous nature.
