Question

What weight of oxygen gas will contain the same number of molecules as 56g of nitogen gas? How?

Open in App
Solution

Atomic mass of N2(nitrogen gas) is 28.
so 56 gram of N2 contains
2 mole N2 =2× 6.022×10^23

so we also need 2 mole of oxygen (O2)
as 1 mole oxygen=32 grams
so 2 mole oxygen=64 grams

hennce weight of oxygen needed
is 64 grams
