The city was found to be divided into three parts and each part was surrounded by massive stonewalls, with entrances through gateways.
A large open area was also found in the settlement, where public ceremonies were probably held.
Yet other findings include large letters of the Harappan script that were carved out of white stone and inlaid in wood.
Unlike other Harappan cities which were divided into two parts, Dholavira was divided into three parts.
