What were the Meerut , Lahore and Kakori conspiracies before the civil disobedience movement?

Meerut conspiracy case was initiated by the British in 1929 which was mainly associated with the organisation of a railway strike by the trade unionists.Several trade union leaders were convicted under false lawsuit.This was mainly done to restrict the growth of Communism in India whose main aim was to overthrow the existing government by means of strike and armed uprising. The Meerut conspiracy case strengthen the position of workers who were put under trial.

The Lahore Conspiracy involves the two cases of the killing of the British official Saunders and throwing bombs in the Central Legislative Assembly. For this, Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdeve were executed by the British on March 23, 1931.

Kakori conspiracy was planned by Ram Prasad Bismil, Ashfaqullah Khan among few others. Their main intention was to extort the British money . This was done by plundering a train travelling from from Shahjahanpur to Lucknow, which carried money-bags belonging to the British Government Treasury. One passenger died in accidental shot. Ram Prasad Bismil was charged of robbery and murder.
