Solution:
The two major religions developed in China are Taoism and Confucianism.
Taoism was named after its founder Lao Tse. The principle of Taoism was to lead a simple life.
Confucianism was founded by Confucius. He laid stress on the rules of conduct in society rather than the Gods and death. He preached to his followers to practice virtues like hard work, honesty, truth, and respect for elders and ancestors. His teachings are well written in his five books, known as the Five Classics.
