  • Societal values: During the reign of the Gangas, the society was divided into various sects and castes that were interdependent. Joint patriarchal families existed. People were known for their loyalty, honesty, bravery, and patience. For example, Durvinita, a renowned king of the dynasty, was a brave warrior who inspired people.
  • Educational values: Places like temples, mathas, and chaityalayas served as centres of education. Talakadu, Shravanabelagola, Bankapura, and Peruru were popular centres of learning.
  • Religious values: The Gangas followed Jainism. The 58-foot monolithic idol of Gommateshwara was installed at Shravanabelagola by Chavundaraya, the minister of Rachamalla IV.
